I photographed Kelsey and Joe’s wedding in Estes Park the year of the epic flood. Despite the natural disaster, we were all stranded there together, and it was meaningful, and beautiful and so much fun. This was my second Mosimann wedding, and at this point I had become friends with this family. They are truly some of my very favorite people. The whole extended gang. So I had anticipated meeting Kelsey and Joe’s baby with a lot of joy. When I got there, they were drinking French Press coffee (I think French Press, right?), and eating homemade bread and listening to Stevie Wonder and dancing with Franny in the living room of their cool mid century house. Baby Frances slept most of the way through it, but like her mom and dad, she is so easy to photograph. Completely beautiful. Love you Kelsey and Joe and Franny. Here are some favorites.
Kelly is one of my very dearest friends from college. We lived together in the Mint Mansion on Leavenworth Street, and some of the most joyful and deep moments of my life were with this girl over the course of a few years. So it was so very satisfying and fun, years later, to finally meet Kelly’s husband Adam, and one year old son Wyatt. I adore them both. Here are a few highlights from my time with this completely lovable family of three.
Sarah and I call each other “sister”, partly because we look like we could be sisters, but mostly because years of friendship has earned a relationship that is worthy of that title. I got to photograph Sarah and Mat’s wedding on the top of Aspen mountain a handful of years ago, and since then we have had two more kids, and they have had one, (sweet baby Eve, who you get to meet in this post!), and we have started a summer tradition of driving west, to the mountains to spend a few days of vacation with them in the summer. So here are a few photos of this beautiful beloved Hirst family at home. It was so moving for me to see Sarah beaming with love over her daughter. Love you Sarah, Mat, and Eve!
