I recently photographed Sarah and Matt at their home and we caught up on the 5 years that had past since I photographed their wedding.  They reminded me that I was pregnant with my oldest daughter Charlotte at their wedding.  And now they are waiting for their own little girl to arrive. Isn’t Sarah stunning?!  Can’t wait to meet little chica.

It seems like yesterday that I got to meet Crew for the first time and take his newborn photos.  Last month I got to take more pictures of this exceedingly adorable little guy as well as catch up with his mom and dad, and they shared the exciting news that Crew is going to be a big brother! On Sunday we were blessed with a sunny 70- degree October day, so we ate cake outside with family to celebrate Fiona’s first year of life.  We love our little smiling, funny  blue-eyed Fiona and can’t imagine our family without her.

The first time I met them, Brandi and Ray came and sat on my couch and told me about their story, some of what they had been through individually and together, and how Brandi was thrilled to not only be marrying Ray, but also making a commitment to his three amazing kids.  They told me how they fell in love leading worship together at their church and how deep the connection was to fall in love while playing music and worshiping together.  I knew Brandi and I were kindred spirits in that we are both such feelers and self-proclaimed lovers of “cheesy” sentimental things. I loved getting seeing Ray with his kids on the wedding day.  He is such a good dad.  Whenever I photograph weddings where kids are around, I think how special it is that these couples will get to look back on the day and have their kids there.  Brandi also has an amazing family, and seeing her mom and dad dance all night out there with their four grown kids made me so excited for the family life that I have to look forward to.

The wedding was held at the church where Brandi’s parents and grandparents were married, and the reception was on Brandi’s mom and dad’s beautiful land out in the country.

Thank you guys for being so wonderful.  It was an absolute honor and pleasure to be a part of your lives this year.  Here is your first peek!
