I grew up with the Dischinger kids. And now all of us “kids” are adults. And our parents are still best friends, and we still get to be in each other’s lives as well. I had the joy of photographing Colby and Meg’s wedding a handful of years ago, and now they are a family of three, with darling, perfectly wild Owen. Love you guys. You’re beautiful.
This Saturday will mark three weeks of life for this little beautiful being that we named Fiona Day. There are so many stories to tell, and thankfully, I have had a few talented friends around to capture the belly, the birth, and in coming weeks, the new life that our family is coming to know. But of course, as much as I really don’t have a free hand these days, I find myself craving the chance to record this quickly passing time myself. So though there aren’t many, here are a few images that I’ve been able to capture in the midst of mothering my (now two!) girls. The images from the hospital, I have to give big thanks to my sister in law Haley for taking. When Charlotte came in to meet Fiona for the first time, Haley grabbed the camera without a second thought and shot away. So thankful for those.
