The McNabbs are one of my special families. They continue to keep in touch and invite me into recording their lives. A little over a week ago, I had the chance to be at little Gavin’s one year birthday party. What a joy! Take a look at a few here
I met Daniel and Audrey through photographing Daniel’s sister’s wedding years ago. Their family is friends with some of my family, and there is no better way to start off with a couple than an already established set of connections. I loved that when I spoke to Audrey about engagement photos, she knew what she liked and what she didn’t. Lucky for me, she and I share a love for golden light. And lucky for both of us, we got one of those days! Enjoy a peek!
When Ashley and Greg called to talk about their wedding, they knew immediately that it would be an extended weekend event, more than a one day conventional wedding. This made me very happy. I love the opportunity that an extended weekend with a group of people affords. After a small Friday ceremony, lunch out with one side of the family, and Shabbat dinner with another side of the family, I had fallen in love with all of the different key people in their lives, and I still had two days more to spend with them. This allows for some great coverage.
I had fallen for Ashley and Greg immediately. At one point in a toast, I remember Greg’s dad describing Ashley as a “light” coming into the family. I thought that was just exactly how I see her. I see Greg that way too. They are both so kind and sincere. I love their love for art, their friends, their dogs. I love that they are morning people, and that they laugh with their whole bodies, and that they love the kids in their lives so much. They are just the kind of couple you want to be around.
Of course, the people are the most important part, but each event throughout the weekend was spectacularly designed and hosted. In particular, I was amazed at the beautiful food that we all got to eat every day- created, presented, and served by Lon Lane’s incredible team. And with Dan Meiners at the helm for the aesthetic design, the event was distinctively modern, grand, and full of surprises, leaving all of the guests with a truly memorable experience. So enjoy a look into Ashley and Greg’s marriage weekend…
