When I was thinking about what I would name this post, “Green & Black” came to mind. I love that while Tori is designing a wedding around a garden theme, and Chris is an avid outdoorsman, the reality is that Tori has this rock and roll hair and Chris drives a black motorcycle. They are a beautiful pair of people who embody both soft green and tough black. We had fun. These two are sweet, and I just love em. Here are a few favorites.
Best case scenario for us at Wirken Photography is that we get to sustain our relationships with families, do multiple weddings, births; become their personal life documentarians. Kristin Hayes is the second Hayes daughter whose wedding I have photographed, and three years after big sister Hayley’s wedding, I got to smile as I saw the same sisterly crack-ups that I remember before, the same endearing glances of the parents, and this time it just expanded because I also got to meet Josh’s wonderful family. I loved seeing the relationship and friendship between these two families.
There were a handful of things about this wedding that were exceptional. Two things in particular defined it for me- Josh’s sweet sincere emotion as Kristin walked down the aisle, and the element of surprise that mom and wedding coordinator Cindy Patrick integrated into the reception. Linda, Kristin’s mom flew in a Michael Jackson impersonator just because she knew that for her MJ fanatic daughter, having him “show up” in the middle of her wedding reception would be one of the best surprises of her life. So, without more words, enjoy a look into Kristin and Josh’s day- thanks so much you guys. Much love, and more years to come!
