Jesse is a poker buddy of my husbands.  We had all known one another originally from KState, but it was such a pleasure to get to meet Jesse’s luminous and lighthearted wife Amy.  Take a look at some of my favorites of these two…006amy_jesse-copy.jpg013amy_jesse-copy.jpg read more

Gina and Jeff have a rooftop terrace with a pool at their downtown loft, and these were just the most killer pictures of the evening….I get so excited when I get to shoot at new places!  I included a few others for you to see as well.  Thanks for the fun shoot guys!_d2n5786-copy.jpg _d2n5806-copy.jpg  read more

Leah and Erich had me excited for all of the beauty at their wedding as she talked about the special details they were incorporating for their guests: a really fun band, a Grey Goose Martini Bar, ice sculptures, Cigar bars, lounging areas on the golf course.  But what was most exciting to me was the fact that the ceremony would be especially personal, taking place in the backyard of Leah’s mother’s home.  When we pulled into their beautiful Columbia neighborhood and saw the home, we were just giddy about how lovely it was.  A gorgeous fall day, and a wedding that lived up to all the fun that it was anticipated to be.  Congratulations Leah and Erich, and thank you so much for having me along.  It has been so fun getting to know you guys this year!

I took some pictures of my dear friend Beth’s beautiful pregnant body just 4 days ago, and got the wonderful news that little Hazel came two weeks early and is now in the world!
I am so happy for you Beth and Tory.  Can’t wait to meet her!
I like shooting the human form out of focus because it makes it feel like a memory…
So I thought this one of Beth was appropriate since that bod is missing its bump now

I rarely get to fit senior portraits into my wedding workflow, but when I do I have been lucky enough to be able to shoot for the most incredibly talented, unique, intelligent young women.  Sarah was an absolute treat.  She and I are both lovers of  photography, golden sunlight, nature, horses.  She rides, shoots pictures (even has her own budding photography business), and seems to be exhaustingly involved in the arts and other leadership groups at school.  Really, this afternoon was play for me.  Thanks so much Sarah.   img_9325-copy.jpgimg_9836-copy.jpg

Jennifer and Jason have been the most easy going, appreciative, sweet people to work with.  The wedding day was very laid back, the ceremony was full of affectionate glances, and the crowd shook it up on the dance floor!  Both ceremony and reception were at the clean, simple, Club 1000, and our favorite DJ Jeff Holmes kept the dance floor lively for the night.   We also had the serendipity of some incredible light at sunset.  It was otherworldly!
Thank you guys for including me in your life this past year!
